SHAPE

SECTIONING AND PERIMETER

Separate the hair into front and back sections by creating a radial parting across the head from ear to ear. Starting in the center of the back section, cut a perimeter length.

Mastery Point: Lift the chin before connecting the back section to the front creating a slight forward angle.

STEP ONE

Sub-divide for control and create a face frame on an angle cutting from short to long.

STEP TWO

Establish a long guideline at the crown and continue to cut, pivoting through section. Connect the layers to the perimeter by elevating the hair on a low angle and Deep Point Cutting.

TEXTURIZE

Hold the hair at a 90 degree angle from the head and randomly Slide Cut pieces from the mid-lengths to the ends to create texture.

STYLE

STYLE

Spray individual sub-section with Style Link Heat Buffer on dry hair.

Use a large barrel curling iron to create soft waves starting at the cheekbone. Wrap the hair one complete rotation around the iron.

Continue around to the back of the head. Leave out the ends for a more modern look.

SEPARATE

Separate the strands by gently applying Style Link Over Achiever to the mid-lengths and ends. Isolate sections using contrasting bobby pins.
